    Question Requesting help with identification

Hi Everyone & Happy New Year!

Recently, I was able to pick some items up as part of a package deal. I need some help with identifying these items:

    Item # 1: Helmet cover
I believe this is Germanicon. They guy suggested that it was "Waffen SS", but I really don't think so - looks too new and I doubt the SS used bungee cords to provide tension on the helmet. It is double sided: one side is a Spring/Summer camo pattern, the other is a Fall pattern. There are no markings on it that I have been able to find. Anyone recognize it and or date/value?

    Item # 2: Mess kit # 1
This kit is modeled after the German WWII kits, but has no markings. It contains 3 pieces, all out of aluminum. From the overspray, it is clear that it was spray painted. Any clue?

    Item # 3: Mess kit # 2
Again, looks like the German kits. There are markings on the outside "bottom" cup ("MM 74") and on the canteen neck ("HSZ89"). It contains 3 pieces and uses a spring loaded strap to keep it all together.

    Item # 4: 3-pouch ammunition pouch
Brown colored pebble pattern leather pouch I believe to be German. It is stamped on the back "Rahm & Kappmann", "Kaiserslautern" and the year stamped is 1943. There is a name barely readable under the "D" ring of "Roll" No other markings exist on the pouch. Do you believe this to be authentic in lieu of Wermacht approval markings? Is the color right (most others I have seen were black or dark brown - this is more of a light brown)?

I appreciate your expertise and assistance in this. Just getting into this hobby and I have to say that the history of all these artifacts is so much fun.

    Thanks!

    Thumbs up

The helmet cover is a repro.
the unmarked mess kit is most likely post war, can't remember ever seeing a known wartime that is unmarked.
The other mess kit & canteen are Bundeswehr.
The 98k ammo pouch is WW 2.
