Help restoring a No 1 Mk I*

I'm looking for detailed photographs of a rear handguard with early back sight protector and the single barrel clip. I have a BSA 1905 short lee it was originally a I* upgraded with ** later on. It's new serial number was stamped ER for Irish service, but it's original number was prefixed with an S.
The barrel where the clip attaches is only scratched/marked from a single clip, so I want to make one that's true to spec. I made one before for another rifle, but I used the double clip. I swore I'd never do it again (after a lot of swearing) but hey, it's Enfields I'm talking about and there never seems to be a last one.
I tried putting up pictures but couldn't figure out how to do it.
I've got a forend in the works from EFD, but couldn't spring the extra for handguards, so it's time to start carving and sanding.
Any help is appreciated

I have a BSA 1907 and it also has the ER markings on it. serial # 3322. It also has unit markings on the disc, which is DLS 10 62.
Can someone tell me what the DSL stands for?
The gun is also all matching.

I've no idea. It could be in the Irish too. I have another three BSAs, a 1904, 1905, and 1906. The original serial number on my 1907 is K72982 It's ER number is 3141, no butt disc though. The serial numbers on the other ones are prefixed with L on the 1904, and S on the 05 and 06. The ERs have re stamped 4 digit serial numbers and the CR has only 3. I wish there was more info on these rifles.

Thanks for the offer but I got super lucky and dropped on a LSA original. I'm using 2/56 screws which fit good, a little bit loose but not much. I've finished stage 1 and got the protector rough fit on. I make the handguard from a piece of old forend from the king screw to the band. The MK III site protector screw hole sits in the wood I remove for the space between the forks. There's enough wood for some wiggle room for mistakes. The hardest thing to find are the brass rivets and burrs to attach the spring clip, I'm still looking.

Very interesting. I also have a MK III* stamped FF. I bought it as a barreled receiver and it looked new but the stamps were smoothed meaning it was definitely a rework. Now I think it must have remained in stores that way and never been completed. if you want the serial number data from my rifles I can pass it along.
