Matching lawn chairs - appears to be the same Mike. The front band on the Winchester kind of stands out to me. - Bob

In a word, Yes! There was quite a stink over on the CMPicon site about the rear sight on the WRA being fake. Mike kept insisting the sight was real while everyone else said it was fake.

    D Driver,
    Ok then,
Same guy who ended up selling that same UN-Q on GB with (At first no mention of the welded stake marks. I remember it very well now.

    USGI Bob,
Swivel on the GB WRA is a replacement/repro.

    JMO,

    From the auction:

This looks close to being an original but I think the hammer has been replaced. Should be a dog-leg hammer but this Carbine has a later one in it. The square S flip sight looks original to this Carbine.
He put it on GB with this verbiage after being told that the sight is positively a reproduction, leading the reader to assume it's a USGI sight and everything looks original except the hammer. He cussed me in a PM and deleted his CMPicon for-sale ad when a few people agreed that it's not a USGI sight.

Someone else sent me a PM of the auction where he purchased that recoil plate off GB, but isn't stating it in the description along with the hammer he mentioned.

He's still a currently active poster on CMP.

Now that we've mentioned the Barrel band/swivel, recoil plate and Rear sight........ They just JUMP OUT at you when looking.

    That Winchester deserved better.

It once looked something like this:
