A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. That sounds awful. I can only assume the lost the master copy of the manuscript docuements and there are no replacements or back-ups? That must be so frustrating after putting so much sweat, effort and knowlege into it.

Nope. Got the manuscript on disc., It's the original photos taken during the trials, the men involved, documents from the archives etc etc. Frustrating is one of the words I have mentioned......

Yes maybe the postal pixies have got them we lose stuff all the time here in Aus, hopefully for all it will be found sooner rather than later.
