    Wink L1a1

Here's my L1A1....I built it many years ago. It's got an Imbel receiver, but all the other parts are from the same unissued Brit rifle.I managed to get an unissued parts kit years ago when they were available and pretty cheap! I have and original Tritium SUIT site (with active tritium), an original bayonet, sling, magazine, and cleaning kit for it also.
    It functions flawlessly.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Jealous

I was just about to buy one when Michael Ryan carried out the Hungerford shootings in UKicon. The money I'd saved went towards a Browning Hi Power instead. I only wish we'd hung on to the SLR in the army for a bit longer. I loved mine.

Gosh Harry, you just can't win for losing. Both Ryan and that other piece of dog feces in Dunblane should NEVER have been given a firearms licence if the police had been doing their job. BUT of course the police got off free while the honest folks got screwed.
