    Bring back (?) Colt 1909 (?) DA .45 revolver.

Happened across this today...a Colt 1909 (?) DA .45 Long Colt. I has been modified, shortened barrel and trigger guard worked. Inscribed on the revolver is 'PFC D.O. MORRIS, USMC. GUADALCANAL, NEW GEORGIA, BOUGAINVILLE'. I'm assuming PFC Morris carried this with him through those campaigns, not 100% certain. Will have to try to find some info on him. Anyway, let the pics speak, thoughts welcome!

It's a Model 1917 rather than a 1909. No way of knowing if it was actually carried through all the battles or just someone's attempt of making a collectible out of a butchered Model 1917.

Commercial grips. Could be the most desirable things about the revolver.
