    Some pics of my Garands

Hi all. I'm new to this new forum. I've read the old CSPicon forum for years, but just never joined. I tend to read much more than I post. I started collecting Garands about four years ago and discovered the CMPicon soon after I bought my first Garandicon from a friend. Anyways, here's some pics of my Garands (and a carbine):

How about a little more details on your rifles manufacture and year. They do look nice.

    From left to right...

SA 5.4 SG with CMPicon stock

    SA 3.5 RG

SA 900k with original barrel - CMP naked dane

    SA 5.4 SG

HRA 5.6 SG with CMP stock

    and a 400k Inland Carbine

All from the CMP. I have two project guns and one recent build using one of the CMP barrel receivers. I got lucky with the barreled receiver, so I was able to do a nice looking build. I'll post pics of it later...

They are very nice looking rifles. Question....are the majority of the Garands Greek returns? They have that dark black coloring

They are all Greek returns with the exception being the Dane. The first pic on the top of the post makes them look darker than they actually are. The last pic shows them off a little better. My 3.5 field grade was refinished by the greeks. It has a uniform dark finish. The two 5.4 service grades appear to have their original finishes, and the HRA has a nice original olive gray finish. I managed to get only one non-Greek USGI field grade before they were gone. It is a 2.9 with matching barrel and what I believe to be the original bolt and trigger group.
