Newbie question, new to me P14

I am new to the forum and don't know what the civilian markings are.

They might look like this. There might be an England stamp and what is on the barrel.

No markings like that, if those are the civilian markings you are referring to than no there are no marks like that any where on the rifle or import marks, there are the normal proof marks I've seen in other pictures.

Question. this looks a "DP" rifle with that circular hole cut in the stock and rear hand guard just in front of the receiver Any DP marks or signs if white or red paint on the stockAttachment 61354

No DP markings on rifle or parts, only the stock, it looks like the entire rifle and parts, which all match were put in a DP stock for some reason, definitely no DP markings anywhere but the stock.

I went and pulled my EY P14 from the safe and it to does not have the *. I have not paid that close attention over the years but it sounds like most where upgraded? Mine is had the "Fatboy" stock like yours.Attachment 61446Attachment 61447Attachment 61448

You have a much nicer stock on yours, looks nice! Do you shoot it? I have the sammi headspace gauges and mine passes, I have cleaned the chamber and bore and entire rifle now and am going to load some mild loads to start with and head to the range sometime in the next couple week's, we'll see how she shoots!

Therno, does your P14 still have the forward volley sight as well? If it does that is pretty uncommon to say the least as most had them removed post WWI.

Yes my still has both forward a back matching volley sites. Every thing else matches and no import marks. Bought about ten years ago. I looks like it has seen very little use. I have only shot it once since I have had it. To many other Enfields to take out.
