Late war Remington Rand with park barrel

Looking at a RR late war in the gun store where I work with a parkerized barrel. Don't have the serial # but remember was in the last few thousand produced in '45. Parkerizing is light grey which is correct but the barrel also light grey Parkerizing matching the slide and frame. Has anyone heard of original parkerized barrels? It has become quite the topic of conversation at the store lately. Thanks, Bob

No barrels originally installed in the model 1911A1 were ever phosphate finished. Same for the magazines.
