Just a birch replacement stock

Received this stock from a 1st Sgt as a gift, the shell flame grain was not that apparent until I applied some BLO icon

Sometimes birch can be downright gorgeous. Older Remington 870's can have nice figure underneath the crappy factory finish too.

At the time that I got the birch stock, it appeared that birch handguards were not yet in the system as replacements. I use to check racks of rifles looking for fancy walnut handguards - which I did find. One front handguard that I did use is Winchester as far as I can tell, later on I found some fancy Winchester stocks (Wisconsin barnwood) and even later on some birch handguards.Attachment 61563 Attachment 61564 Attachment 61565

Winchester front handguard also in photo. I had installed a Winchester M70 target front sight and used this rifle for off hand steel plates
