    Post Lithgow Rifles Survey

For those members here that own Lithgowicon Rifles and are not members on Gunboards, I am currently conducting a survey on Year of Manufacture, Serial Numbers and Barrel Dates.

I would much appreciate your input to those lists, either by adding to the thread over there or by posting your information on this thread.

I will post the updated data sheets on this forum if I get a response, your assistance would be much appreciated.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. Manufacturer of various vintage rifle scopes for the 1903 such as our M73G4 (reproduction of the Weaver 330C) and Malcolm 8X Gen II (Unertl reproduction). Several of our scopes are used in the CMP Vintage Sniper competition on top of 1903 rifles. Brian Dick ... 1926 Lithgowicon SMLE, serial No: B14257 (FTR 53 barrel dated 53) barrel was shot and was replaced few years ago. Not much original on the rifle apart from body, but stayed as it was since the FTR (minus the barrel)

Note: After you click on images to ENLARGE them, you may find they automatically size smaller in your browser's window making them harder to view. The auto sizing is your browser's way of keeping images entirely within the screen size you have set. Move your mouse pointer to the bottom centre of the pic and you will see an options panel appear. There will be a small square box next to the large X, which will have a pointer arrow sticking out of it. If it's illuminated, it means the pic you're viewing can be enlarged, so click on this box and the pic will EXPAND and open to its normal size. You can then grab the pic with your mouse (hold down left mouse button) and move it around to look more closely at various parts of the photo.

Easy enough to remember the stats of this one. But why the upside down looking "B"s?:

    B61941

    With the barrel date of....

    6 1941

And bought in June (but no '41 tie in that I recall)
