New wood for MkIII rifle from FLYING PIG

I have a rear sling swivel, and mid band. Just missing the screw for the mid-band. I named the wrong front sling swivel, I need the swivel for the nosecap (and the nosecap) and the swivel for the trigger guard.
Have you any thoughts on the aperture front sight that is on my rifle. Can't find anything on such a sight, so far.

Not too, sure. There were so many variants. If I get time I'll have a look in TRRS and see if it shows many of them in there. Maybe it was even off of a factory target rifle or something?

I was CF, PPCLI to be specific...for 25 years and then changed over to reserve force. I was Canadian Scottish from '98 to '08... I was posted to Wainwright a couple of times plus TD there and did Suffield enough...winter and summer.

My brother served with PPCLI, out of Calgary, I believe. Now serving with the Calgary Highlanders, till January-he turns 60 and I think that is it, for him, and the Forces.
I shot the Mk III today. She put five shots into -1" at 25 metres, so it looks promising (34.5 grs, H4895 180 grain Sierra flat base, Privi brass, WLR primer) The rifle has been E stamped, but my brass looks really good after firing, no bulges at the case head, etc. So, I need to drift the front sight to get it lined up (2.75" left of aim point at 25 metres) and then give it a go at 100 metres. Has a bit of an ejection issue, I think the ejector is gummed up, as it is slow to rise, when pushed down.
Will disassemble, clean everything up, lube it up, and see how it works then.

Sounds like a good start. A lot of guys claim to end up under an inch at 100m with theirs. Your load doesn't sound far from what others have wound up at for a Ross pet load. I think most wound up at 35grs 4895 under the pro hunters. That long tube helps give it a big velocity boost over a Lee-Enfield. My LEs love that load, just with 38gr 4895 instead of 35.
As a side note, I found a nose cap this morning! I'll take it around to a few shops locally and see if a friend from work would be into making some from it. Could be a bit of side income for him. The one I found has no bayonet lug, so we'll have to fix it.

FP, I would be interested in a nosecap, depending of course, on cost. Could you measure the length of your mid band retaining screw?
If this rifle holds what it does at 25M out to 100M, I expect to see groups around 3-4". Might be better with younger eyes, but with my vision, I would be very happy with 3-4" at 100M.
I am going to disassemble the magazine and clean everything up, and lube it. Same with the ejector. Gave it a spray of brakeclean, and it seems to have loosen off, so a through cleaning may solve the issues.

Several guys on CGN have had them priced out through machine shops at different times and the results have always been the same. Unit cost has come back really high (like $200-250 each high). I can see if I can get a deal with the shop that does a lot of our stuff for work. I may even be able to order them through work and get a bit of a break that way.

Last one I saw sell on EBay went higher than that and I don't believe it was sold with screws. The one that I picked up this morning wasn't cheap either. I payed as much for it with cut off bayo lug as I did for an original MkII cap three years ago. I sold one original MkII cap last year when I was really tight for $265 in about two minutes.

Can you make a stock for a 1905 MK II? I just got a bubbed 1905. I have an uncut barrel and the sights for it. I'd also be interested in a nose cap as well.
