35th series Toyo Kogyo 'last ditch'.

Got this one yesterday, a really nice Toyo Kogyo 35th series 'last ditch', full mum. As I understand it, Toyo Kogyo was near Hiroshima, and this rifle may have been assembled shortly before the bombing ( serial number 542** )

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. She is the twin of my 34th Series Toyo Kogyo. Came from a Navy Vet whose granddaughter didn't want to bring her children over to a house with a gun in it. While his Jeep Carrier was in Tokyo Bay the Navy sent a barge full of rifles, MGs, etc around and allowed any sailor who wanted one (rifle) to take one before the rest got dumped over the side. I can attest that it shoots well.Attachment 62097Attachment 62098Attachment 62099Attachment 62100
