    Stainless Cup Identification

I recently inherited two stainless steel cups from my mom who was given the cups by her father before he passed away. He was a B-17 pilot in the Army Air Corps during WWII and after the war went career Air Force as a search and rescue pilot before being shuffled around the US and Europe on other assignments. I'd like to at least figure out where he picked up these cups and if anyone else on here has or has seen any variants of them out there.

Not too good at attaching photos but I think I managed to attach a photo of one of the cups.

The only markings on it is 4A stamped into the side of the cup.

Just a guess, but the one illustrated looks like a (non-graduated) measuring cup from Europe - possibly a baker's measure.
