Hi, I just purchased a NIB colt 1911 SN 4186WMK. I know this is not an original period pistol, but can some one tell me what I have? I paid $600.00 for it. Thanks is advance, Bill Hughes

Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. If it in fact new ,.... at $600.00 you got a great deal (steal) lock it in a safe. You got a WWI 1911 reproduction model, which should be the Carbona blue finish. let me know hen you are ready to sell it! I have a 1918 repro with the black oxide finish.

Going prices around here are close to $950 + for a repro like that.
