SVT-40 Bayonet

One of those I didn't think I'd ever get but it was mis-listed in ebay as an American bayonet and covered with a light coating of orange rust that I took a chance on. Rust basically just wiped off with steel wool. Blade is unblemished.

Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. I was pleasantly surprised with this bayonet. Wasn't sure what to expect other than "functional" when it comes to Soviet icon

stuff but this is very nicely made. Fit and finish ranks right up there with the best of the bayonets.
