I know a former police sniper who used one and said it was a remarkable gun. I shot with him a couple of times and he was very good and extremely anal about his gun so there is no doubt it was a great gun. He formerly had a Remington 700 tricked out and said the AI was light years ahead of any other gun he used.

I can't remember what he told me his dept. paid for it but they aren't cheap by any means however a lifetime of fun with good care.

On your side is the fact they are not a easy to sell item as few want them. Well everyone want one, most won't spend the money to own one.

I have sent a email to the cop who used one asking him what they paid for it and what it came with, hopefully he will answer and I will post more if he does.

Had a email and am figuring they bought the gun with a couple extra mags for "about" 6 thousand dollars new. It may never have been shot but it is still used so again they generally are not fast sellers as expensive and although many would love one most won't consider the outlay of money to own it.

I think from the video the seller is thinking he wants new price, personally I wouldn't pay close to it but that's just me.

Personally I would buy a Savage FCP McMillan in .308, put a good piece of glass on it and you have a fantastic gun at a much lower price. Is it as good as a AI, no but I guess you have to determine what you will be capable of shooting with either gun.

You can find a Savage for less than the $1,591.00 US if you are patient and watch all the forums in Canadaicon. I bought my son one, he put on a very good Vortex scope and it literally is a tack driver, not as "cool" as a AI but still a fantastic gun.

Buy a MPOD from Jerry at Mystic precision, personally I like the system and it is much better than the Harris I have on a different Savage .223 FCP I own.

Don't get me wrong, the AI is a great gun, just too much money for what I need a gun to do.

Well the rifle has been marked as sold. Not purchased by me anyway.

I have seen the Savage action ... In action ... And very impressed.
