    Fake Polish M44 'Sniper'

    Hi all,

Just thought that some of you guys could use a laugh for what is obviously a fake non-existent item.

Advertised on a other forum for sale is a 'Unissued Polish M44 Sniper' which is all matching except for the scope

Here are the photos of this absolute rarity, I hope you can all appreciate it, and for 1350$ (what they have it listed at) you too can own it. I only hope someone isn't dumb enough to fall for it. It is also a shame this happened to what otherwise would have been a very nice and desirable Polish M44.

I pray so as well, maybe one of the mods had it removed as it is a blatant fake.

For everyone reading this, Poland did make stocks and manufacture replacement parts for the 91/30 sniper. These are known as Polish 91/30 PU snipers.

They are very rare, and can certainly bring much more than 2-3k. Last Gunbroker auction site had one sell for 4600, but I refuse to acknowledge it because it crushes my hopes of ever affording one.

    Read all about them here:
    Rifles Of The Red Star

Poland didn't make many. And they all seem to be a bit inconsistent with markings. Some have WZ stamps on the metal, all have at least 1 on the stock. Interesting read.

So yes Polish 91/30 snipers do exist, but Poland never made an m44 sniper.
