History of the First Division During the World War

Not really a review as I just got it but a reminder to look closely at those old books in the stores or yard sales. I collect old books, mostly military and have a few unit histories and I figured this would fit right in. Fair condition, a couple of nicks in the cover but the pages are all tight and clean and it appears it may have been signed by the author although none is listed. $2.00. Figured it was an easy $20.00. Looked it up and only found one for sale that wasn't a modern paperback reprint, $500.00. This is an old style book with glossy color plates scattered throughout and photo pages scattered about also. Not all in one location. Has the tissue paper on some but not all the color plates. Written as part of their members association, I'm somewhat curious as to accuracy compared with much of today's writings. Originally published in 1920, this is a hard bound first edition.
