Prototype .223 parker hale rifle 1998

Not been seen before this was designed by two of the engineers at Parker Hale in 1998 a photo I found in the stash of a .223 REM Prototype bolt action rifle for consideration when the NO 8 rifle was up for repalcement...............Serial no: 0001.
Where is she now...........interesting concept, albeit the bipod was placed there for photo shoot purposes only

That's an interesting flash eliminator design. Was this a working prototype or a concept idea. The trouble with a No8 replacement is that it's primary role is to be a training aid for the real McCoy. And now, there's the SAT/laser range trainer. Not as reliable as a VW I have to say. Now that I think about it, not as reliable as anything else I can think of! Oh, yes...., where were we...... Ah, yes....defective SAT range rifles!

It was a working prototype commissioned internally at PH to try out for the NO 8 replacement. Interesting bits and pieces as it evolved. Sold to a dealer in the Isle of Man according to the records in 2000 as the company was liquidated.
