here are pics of a colt SP1 with that I posted about earlier The store dropped the price from 1100 to 900 and I just got it out of layaway it shoots sweet but I was told it does not have the correct bolt

The earliest had either a selective fire bolt or the modified one and available in either chrome or phosphate. They originally didn't have the forward assist serrations though. That's probably what was being pointed out. I can't say what serial numbers the change timelines were though.

I would think that your SP1 would still have the early bolt carrier without the forward assist notchesAttachment 65132

I'd been curious about my own rifles and from what I've found, Colt used whatever was at hand as early as the late 1960s, including serrated bolt carriers, when they were making civilian-market SP-1s.

You should also check your Colt SP1 for the Edgewater buffer, often replaced but
was original to the SP1. The three digit Colt SP1 in these photos also has the original Colt sling too
