    Replica M16 for display

Request recommendations for replica example of Rifle M16icon or M16A1 to fill place in a display of original U.S. military firearms. Prefer that representation of a 20-round magazine be included. Flash suppressor may be 3-prong or later "birdcage" type, with or without forward assist. Prefer that sling swivels are included, so that sling may be mounted.

I have seen several "display" models online but the images provided don't provide enough detail to determine how accurate to reality the replicas are, so I request information regarding source of suitable replicas?

You could build one using complete parts except use an 80% finished lower, which could be machined to any configuration you wish...and only partly inside so it's safe. If that's your concern. Many of the replica guns aren't realistic at all...not even close...

Not a bad representation. Not quite close enough for me if I was doing it though.
