    Trouble on the Bay

Have just experienced a final episode with the devil´s Bay. Once a year, I tend to get rid of unwanted spare parts, and listed a Parker-Hale 5C. I then received a letter that was not only uncivil, it was obviously written by a semi-literate moron. I replied explaining that a Parker-Hale sight was clearly not a prohibited item. After some further correspondence, they finally agreed to permit me to re-list the item .... and charged me for the first attempt at listing! I then removed the other items I had already listed and closed my account. They refuse to accept an immediate cancellation and I have not yet received their confirmation that they have deleted all my personal details. Next step: contact my legal insurer ....

Yes I too have suffered at the hands of the ignorant employees that fleabay have trolling, I got cindered again for selling a clearly marked inert 30mm Mirage DEFA round after explaining the ballistic cap was fake the projie was solid the case was empty and so on only for naaah get it off but give us the money for the listing. I have clearly seen stuff that was way out there and should have been de-listed I am not a dobber and if they get away with it so be it as long as the Federal Police do not get them otherwise it becomes really messy at that point. Our Federal Police are the ones you do not argue with nor give lip service to....................
Villiers you know you could throw it at some one......they probably do not know which end the pointy thing comes out of and maybe they are working from a list ooooorrrr have a fertile imagination that the sight is going to become a WMD!!!!!!!!

I suspect this is more of a local fleabay problem. I have purchased several Enfield sights on fleabay: one listed in the UKicon and sent to the US, and three listed in the US and sent to me in the US.

It makes me wonder if a government bureaucrat has laid a heavy hand on the local auction site and made them squirrelly.

There is certainly not a lot of consistency. I listed and sold two Enfield magazines last week and had no problems -- and have bought at least 10 magazines on fleabay, including Enfields, M-1s, 9mm, and 22. Go figure!

I am on the fleabay "watch list" also. a few times I have tried to list a repro M1A1icon carbine stock and it has been pulled as an "assault" weapon part. So i list it under my wife's fleabay account with no problem. I hate fleabay but they are a necessary evil. Had the same problem with a Cadmus folding stock for a carbine as well. When I list something it takes 12 hours or longer to show up as an active listing, so it goes into some kind of computer "review" area for one of the ebay Kalifornians to look at before permitting it to be listed.

As I am not a dealer, and can sell (or give away) anything surplus to my needs, I can just get up and go on my way. It´s the problems they create on leaving that I find unacceptable. Same with Facebook. I had to take legal action ... and shall do so again if they don´t delete my details! Maybe I´d be more amenable if they were to pay tax in the UKicon (but then, I don´t suppose the mafia pay tax either).

Patrick's are usually right, but in this case, Patrick, you got it wrong!
As you are in Mauserland, the most sensible thing is to offer it on eGun. Should bring around €200. If I wanted anything to do with firearms, I wouldn't even bother looking at eBay.

    Give it a try!

True, Patrick! I´ll get around to it soon. Thought that there´d be more Enfield people on UKicon fleabay. But never again!
