    Colt AR15 9mm Carbine.

This is a fun plinker and the perfect weapon to train children and women to shoot. They have no recoil, no muzzle blast, and no muzzle flash. Plus, they are light and accurate enough out to 100 yards. In addition 9mm ammo is much less expensive than .223/5.56 so you get to shoot more for less. Many 9mm carbines are carried in police vehicles, just in case.

When the Clinton assault weapon ban expired in 2004, many of these hit the market. Nobody wanted them and their prices dropped like a stone. That's when I got this one. I'm cheap and always appreciate a bargain.

I got a parts kit a while back at a gun show. Had to do some fiddling to get it working. Now it's about perfect, what neat little gun too...

i have a 9mm Beretta Cx4 Storm, great gun and fun to shoot.
Why use a 50 pound bomb when a 500 pound bomb will do?

I bought an Olympic Glock 9mm carbine. It is an M4 that fires 9mm from Glock 17 mags. This was perfect as my duty pistol is a G17. I run an Eotech on mine. I have reliably engages 15" gongs at 330 yards. Reliability went south at 350. I know of guys shooting these with real AR optics and hitting at 450. I can attest that hits at 330-350 sound like some hit that plate with a ball peen hammer!

See, that put things into perspective...Glock mags are cheap like sticks and you can get long ones too. The Colt mags or repros are an arm and leg...and scarce.

The Colt types are $20 at fatboy tactical in tulsa. 33rd Glock mags are easily found but cost a bit more. I love the fact that my carbine and sidearm are feed from the same mag. Even my G26 mags run in this carbine.

These are Fun....but when my buddy bought his I don't remember if it was already a Colt AR-15 in 9mm, but it cost quite a bit. I'm not to familiar with these as I never really looked at them. I guess when the prices dropped they sure did climb right back up he paid 1400.00 for a new one. I know the Colt is not a SBR, but he had a LF9 Side Charge in a 10" barrel...(I like my SBR) even those LF9's are around 900.00 at least that's what he told me he paid. Jim what came in your Kit and was a specific Kit for a Colt ?...Your right about those extended mags he had 3- 32 Round 9mm magazines for his you can shoot for quite awhile.

I honestly forget the upper...but think it was factory. It was an upper and bolt, meg well insert and an Uzi mag. The mag didn't fit correctly and the guy said he'd been shooting it. It couldn't have done, the mag has to be altered slightly just to feed... Anyway, we shortened the barrel and fiddled and fitted and the owner today is supremely happy.
