    T Gewehr and Schwarzloze

What would be the approximate value of a matching functioning T Gewehr and a DEWAT Schwarloze MG in Canadaicon? I'm going to list mine but haven't seen one of either for sale here for several years. Actually, the Schwarzlose I have is the only one I've ever seen.

    Thanks

    Ed

I can only speak for the UKicon. There are quite few T-Gewehr in museums in the UK (It seems to have been very popular Great War Trophy.) but very few in private hands. So I would expect a complete one, including the earlier (non-MG08/15 type) bipod, to go for somewhere (perhaps a long way) north of GBP6000. So few come on the market it is difficult to be more accurate.

Luckily, the are "obsolete calibre" in the UK and so may be held "off-ticket" with no deactivation required.

    T gewehr

There has been a T Gewehr with a bit of a nasty finish on Gunbroker for months listed at US $ 4500.

    Condition ! Condition ! Condtion !

Could be 5-figures in Euros here in Mauserland. An intact (not de-activated) Schwarzlose, especially the blow-forward type (you didn't say which type) is a hyper-rarity and possibly not far behind, although I can't rate the negative effect of de-activating. But CONDITION, CONDITION, CONDITION - the people who collect such items don't actually shoot them, just look at them, so looks are everything.
No, cancel that, it's not worth a lot really, so give it to me, pleeeeeeease!

(Having acquired and shot the smallest and longest Mausers, I would rather fancy having the biggest as well!)

No idea on the MG as I don't follow deactivated firearms prices in Canadaicon, but for the T-Gewehr, I could see around 6k maybe more, maybe less. This is just a guess based on what other anti-tank rifles I have seen for sale in Canada have been going for. Hopefully someone with more knowledge on the current prices can show up.

The Schwarzlose is a M07/12, just a standard one I believe.

The Schwarzlose could be $10 grand...comparative rarity...they just aren't around. A simple '08 marked to the capture by the 10th Calgary was going to go for that about 8-10 years ago. This has to be worth that...
    Regards, Jim
