    .22 Erma K98 Conversion kit

Something I've only ever read about and seen pictures of, but all changed today when it arrived.
Good condition overall, not all matching numbers so will raise an eyebrow to some collectors but all complete except the small knurled bar to enable it be be fitted but one will be made shortly.
The thing what lets it down is the box, termites have had a munch in one particular part. (woodworm) it smells like it has been treated at some point and then wrapped up.

Waffenamts all over it and mags are dated 1938.

Only downside is selling my No1 MkV to fund it but, the decision to sell was made some time back so I could concentrate on the .22 trainers and conversion kits and a few sniper rifles.

Nice one, I'm very jealous I've been after one of those for a long time. I have the single shot version, no box, I found it in a K98icon sporter, it now resides in a military K98 and is probably the best shooting .22 military rifle I have. Shame about the rot but better to have worm in the wood than rust in the barrel................

Its one of them things you can't walk away from, it was a "I,ll buy it now but need to sell something....." moments, as The .22 trainers have grown the full bore rifles have decreased, apart from a limited few.
With the extra cash from the sale of the No1 MkV, I bought a DSM 34 also, pity it has been sportered but will get some pics in a separate thread.

Just the bayonets to thin out and some binos..... for some more funds.

Just a question Paul do you shoot in the Historic Miniature rifle League (postal) ?

I do shoot prone .22 but nothing historic normally 2/3 competitions in the summer and another 2 in the winter including NSRA and national leagues. The military rifles I shoot for fun and that includes both full and smallbore rifles as you well know there is just not enough time to do everything..........
