I just picked up two Standard Modell parts rifles. Not certain about years of production, I know 1930's but not certain if 1933 or 1934. Anybody can shed some light on this?

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Not a whole lot of data. Serial number is B63947. The other rifle is still in the garage soaking. Very nice MAUSER oval on top of front ring, but the receiver has lots of pitting under the wood line. No bolt and no stock. Out of China, for certain, but I have a pair of nice Kar98k icon

barrels waiting in the wings.

I just took a quick look at the other Standard Modell I have. It is serial number B47217. Again no wood, no bolt. This is a Chinese import from around 1990/91. They came in with the huge import of bolt guns that all came from China.
