Parker Hale M85 DBM and trigger guard

Just got done testing my prototype mag and trigger guard for the M85 rifle. It's a near exact copy of the original with two changes. Mag box will be a few thousands bigger to allow for easier insertion and removal of mags and the second I changed the rear part of the triggerguard to allow for standard style triggers to work even timney triggers. But it's so subtle only a die hard PH M85 fan or if you were to place them next to each other, would you be able to tell.

Be interested to hear how you get on. Was there a reason why you needed to embark on that, or was it simply a magazine feeding issue into the housing?

My magazine housing seems too loose. Often have to tweak feed lips of M14/M1Aicon mags to feed well. Once done they get marked up as "OK for M85", so they don't get lost in the pile o' mags.

Mostly I wanted to finish a few M85 rifles. I had enough parts for one complete DBM but I was unable to locate all the parts needed to complete the other rifles. I tried Norman Clark but the lack of response from them and they didn't all the parts to complete the DBM any way I decided to have them made.

From want I've seen with other parts I'm not surprised that there is variations in tolerances with different DBM's. The one original example I have here every mag I tried was tight, some more than others.

I'm only gonna have 12 made, I plan to keep 4 or 5 for my projects and will sell the rest to help recoup the cost of having them designed and made.
