    Chew toy for the Granpuppy

The daughter dropped off the Granpuppy for my wife to baby sit ( is $15/hr. too much to ask? ).

Anyhow she who must be obeyed said to get the mutt the antler and of course I obeyed.

The mutt looks quite happy and should be chewing for awhile.

This dog is a Yank by the way, for some reason my daughter had this mongrel flown in from Boston or somewhere around there. Like there aren't enough mutts around here. But they are getting a lot of money for these crossbreeds these days, hard to understand.

Anyhow the wife asked me why the dog seemed to like the antler so much, didn't have the heart to tell that buck was hummy as hell in full rut and the mutt must still be enjoying the flavour.

Them Mutts are O.K. by me, Ken. I never understood why anyone in their right mind would spend a fortune on a dog anyway.(Does Poodle spring to mind?) My daughter-in-law spent 3500 dollars for an English Bulldog which, if not the ugliest creature on earth, must at least run a close second. Ken C.

Most of us Americans are mongrels ourselves. Thats why we value mutts so much.

Ken C. Sometimes it is the matter of breeding the commands the price, other times it is the purpose and or training the dog had. I know in my case, I paid $400 for a Germanicon Shepard. Line had many a champion. However, his parents were to large for the show ring indicating he would also be to large. After I finished training him, he could do the same things regarding obedience and protection as the professional trained dogs. You might be surprised that a professional trained protection dog can be priceed upwards to the $20,000 figure. Sometimes more. At that time, the dog could be up to a year and a half old. You would then get about 10 years of service work from that dog.
