    Last ditch Arisaka value?

I have a last ditch Arisakaicon in very nice condition. Wood butt plate and complete, untouched Mum. No import marks. An interesting feature is that the trigger guard/ mag floor assembly seems to have been made by a blacksmith. The finish is hammer peened, but the shape is about perfect. A general value range would be much appreciated.

    Thanks, George

Very ballparkish and mostly because of the intact mum I'd say about $300 these days. Not sure about the trigger guard/floorplate. Hard to imagine someone making one from scratch as common as they are but I don't recall them being quite that rough either. Guys tend to ask more than that but I don't see anyone picking them up for much higher. Also depends on condition, you say it's very nice but a collector is going to adhere to a much stricter grading scale. Your very nice may be their good. Photos would always help.

What arsenal and series is it. If you give that info, ill dig out my book on Japaneseicon Arisakas, and find what info I can for your particular rifle based on the series.

Without pics, arsenal, series and matching number information, the $300 value which was given is a fairly stable estimate for a complete Mum'd rifle in today's market.
