Was having a blast even with the blister forming on my trigger finger. The fun really started with all the cases having to be beat out of the chambers,,,I love doing that.
Your probably thinking it can't get anymore fun? Well let me tell friend it did. The action started to bind up adding something like 20lbs to the trigger pull, Awesome!! Because I was able to shoot this group which is the best group I've ever shot with this M1895 Nagant revolver.

I'd like to get my hands on a non-refurb piece and try the trigger. These refurbed ones have this weird black paint/blueing finish that gums up the works so bad the thing is basically hopeless as a firearm, at least this one was and the ammo ain't cheap.

In all seriousness, this pistol isn't AS bad AFTER removing said finish from/and stoning all friction points. I didn't thin the main spring simply because replacements are unobtainum. I did however cut a .308 bullet in half and wedge it between the spring and frame to take up some of the initial pressure. Trigger pull is still literally off the scale though.

I have two and LOVE them. Extremely accurate on both single action and double action. I've done nothing to them other than carry them to the range, load them and shoot them. Both are refurbs, one Tula, the other Izhevsk. Never tried to group either but shoot at 5 inch steel plates at 20 yards and never miss. I'd say that's good enough. I aggravated the heck out of the Cabelas salesmen to get them, looking at 5 or 6 before selecting each of these two. Bores on both are mirror bright and like new. Did not buy them at the same time, had to get the second after I shot the first.

I've had the urge to do the same thing with mine. Hammering the empties out kind of slows down the reloading process. Sure don't envy Ivan trying to defend himself from the fascist hordes with one of these things.
