Lyman Model 57SME mounted on M96 CG Swedish Mauser Question

    I recently purchase a M96 Swedishicon Mauser in 6.5x55 Dated 1918
I was curious how early did Lyman start making the receiver sights Lyman Model 57SME
which was mounted on the rifle already. I have been looking around and Brownells still sells this type of sight. Even though the sight is not original equipment I like it for shooting with my old eyes. It looks better than a scope I think. Just wondering how long this sight may have been on the rifle.
