    M16A1 plastic brass deflector

Back in August we discussed the snap on black plastic brass deflector for A1 rifles. Today I was driving thru Missouri and decided to stop at a surplus store I have been meaning to for 26 years. Low and behold they had a bucket with at least 10 brand new ones in there. $8 each. So I finally got one. The store was Burns Army Surplus in Rolla Missouri. Their number is 573-762-3858.
Took me 26 years to find one of these Lil babies!

I entered service in 89. Hard to believe it was 26 years ago! My first unit as well as my basic training unite both used A1s. I remember being given one of these for BRM. After badic, I never saw these deflectors again. I used a Canadianicon A1 upper to build my A1. Figured it was the best option as I am left handed. So nearly 30 years later, I have this small piece of my heritage back.
If you want any, better call soon. He has less than 10 left.
