Stamps inside of inspectors mark box...
I have an early 1903 built by RIA in 1908. The inspectors stamp is the CN1908 but there are two other stamps in smaller type... and non-scriot... so it looks like B1908A (inside the box just under the CN....
Should I assume that this is a rebuild mark ? Other than the script P in the rear of the trigger guard all the stock has is a tiny B in the wrist area and the S at the end of the stock...

Are there any letters covering the 1908 numbers?
If the rest of the rifle shows no signs of being overhauled, it could just be initials from a previous owner.
