M1A1 Paratrooper Carbine - Please Help.

I was offered this M1A1icon Carbine for $4K.
I asked the seller for more photos which he is going to provide.
This is what I have so far.
    Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Also, is $4K in the ball park for this rifle.
I am told by the seller that it is all correct but again, I am waiting for additional photos.

Anton, Pics are terrible, under exposed and blurry. No way to make any reasonable reply or intelligent remarks. Request some natural light (outside) pics from your seller.

Anton, It would appear the stock has been sanded and repaired. It looks like a crack has been repaired running from the upper right side by the recoil plate and runs forward past the mag cutout.

Hi Anton, I agree with the others that the pics are not detailed enough to warrant an evaluation. $4000.00 is a lot, and more needs to be known. The stock could be worth $1200/$1500. Then is the rifle worth $2500? If you are going to go by pics alone you need better and more detailed pictures. Also does it have any documented provenance that would command $4000? I hope these considerations help. Go slow on this one.

    Best Regards.....Frank

Seems a pretty high price. Looks like a real flip, the internal markings in the slide channel look promising. Can't tell what's on the grip. Looks like low wood?

From what I can see looks like a restoration, as are most of these guns.

Thank you for all of your helpful comments.
He told me he would email more photos in a few days.
Once I get them I will post them.
    So $4,000 is too high.
Once I get the better photos maybe you can give me a better idea on price.
    Thank you again
