A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Starting to shape up like the last use of the P-1907 bayonet might well be in this thread.

No idea who the original photographer is to give credit. Guessing the timeline is 1980s

USMC turning over captured weapons to the Iraq Government to support the future national army. One has to wonder how many times they have been or will be captured...

    Air -gun and no pellets....

Reminds me of that "far side" image of "a knights worst nightmare".............all the other knights heavily armoured with great big axes and swords, .. and him stark naked with a wooden sword!

    Not many lefties in Afghanistan.

Looks like the 2nd from right man on the bottom row is eating a 'double-bubble' ice cream cornet. As is the man directly above him. Maybe they've just murdered an ice cream vendor

Well, there are some lefties but you’d never know it.

If I understood it correctly,,,, there are exceptions for left-handed people. Something to the effect that, “Their left hand is actually their right hand because god made them that way.”

Lefties are still expected to try to use their right hand whenever possible. So while things like shooting and writing can technically be done left-handed, there’s so much pressure put on them that you hardly ever see it.

Eating with your right hand is a reminder of judgement day and the hereafter.
