    german double compartment ammo pouch

I have a double compartment ammo pouch that came to me with a Nazi marked k-98 bayo. All of the ammo pouches I have seen from ww2 have three compartments. Three 5rnd clips of 8mm fit in each compartment perfectly. Has no markings that I can see. Were any two compartment ammo pouches used by Germanyicon during ww2? Cannot post pics, just need to know if two compartment pouches were used. Is brown leather with attachment ring as well as belt loops. Thanks, Bob

    Thumbs up

Yes they existed. From what I have read and some photos I have seen they were used by gate guards at military bases in Germanyicon. Most likely also had other uses.
I have a couple of them around here in the pile, don't remember if they are marked or not. I have both brown and black.
