Steel Telescope Case "STG TEL No.8"

Interesting steel rifle scope case. Leather straps are intact, and pliable.
A bit rusty overall, but clasps work, hinges work.

    Outside Marked:
    OS.906A
    CASE STG TEL No.8
    RIFLE
    B&Co

    Inside has a small label:
    Rifle No. U33577
    Telescope No. 359

    nice score!

i'm assuming you know what it is, but if not, it's the case for a no32 scope that goes on a lee enfield no4t (ww2 up sniper rifle). defiantly sort after for those trying to complete the complete equipment schedule for their rifle.

It was originally home to a UIC Mk1 telescope or a Canadianicon Mk1A or a Canadian Mk3. But I suspect the UIC Mk1

Thank you gentlemen. I'm actually not familiar with this case, and wanting to know more.
Most likely, I will be putting this up for sale, so it can go home with someone who will appreciate it more than I will.

Does the leather strap look original?
Should I do anything to preserve the case and leather (wipe down with oily rag, Pecard treatment on strap) ?

Confirmed by an expert, that this is an early example of a markI case, and the leather strap is original.

Went a little overboard with the oil, and pecards, but neither will hurt the item. Still amazed at how nice the leather strap feels, for being over a hundred years old.

After cleaning, I noticed some new markings:
B or 8 on the side loops
Arrow with "168" or "166" under the "RIFLE"
