A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. My guess is that the IMI 150 gr FMJ are designed to be like M2 ball and should be fine as stated by Bruce. However..........

Pressure at the gas port is largely governed by powder volume. The slower burning powders require higher volume to achieve same velocity as the "normal" Garandicon powders. That drives up gas pressure. Thus if you get powder charges in the 54-60 gr range for a 150 gr bullet, as you will see in slow powder load data, that's uncomfortable territory. A "Garand friendly" powder will normally achieve the design velocity somewhere between 47 - 51 gr. So you could pull a bullet and weigh the powder.
