    French National Shooting Sports Stand.

This should be interesting to you shooters in europe.

Création d'un centre national de tir sportif Ã* Châteauroux - France 3 Centre-Val de Loire

CHÂTEAUROUX/DEOLS : Centre National de Tir Sportif - A.S. Déols Tir

Project costing 29 million euros to build the largest shooting stand in europe enabling 56 shooting spot disciplines to be catered for.
The Frenchicon shooting sport federation has over 180,000 licence holders.
I went yesterday to look at where it is being built.
It is an enormous area, sited on an old american base, that had been the largest in europe till the French asked then nicely to go home. The americans buried lots of equipment on the site that is polluting the ground still.

I only live an hour or so away and have a place to stay 10 min away srom the site,
I am a French competition judge and an ISSF comp judge so I may find that I could be there often.

That really looks like a great place for shooting sports. It looks nice. It is very impressive. I can see some shooters setting new worlds records there too.

    $29 million? Wow!! What's a membership cost?
With only 180,000 potential members $29 Mil breaks down to $161,000 per person to build.

It will be the only stand like it in the EU and probably the world.
Shooting is still a growing sport in Franceicon so it is a good investment.
I will get in to use it for free being a fire arms trainer and comp judge.
My 2 boys aged 8 are members of my club and shoot well for their age.

You added a extra 3 zeros. Actually comes down to 161$ per person, which is actually quite reasonable.
