Enfield made SMG

Got to shoot an Enfield made MK.5 Sterling SMG today on full auto just outside Las Vegas. With a few other gents all of whom wanted to fire an Uzi or AK 47. This was by far the most accurate at 50 yards and easiest to shoot.
On cell phone so cannot upload pictures at present but will do later.

Hey, you're so right Lee Enfield........ What a cock-up on my part! Oooooops. Sorry about that Newcastle. But I was nearly right! The Mk5/L34 Sterling was not an Enfield product either. That was a private venture by Patchett at Sterling for a War Office General Staff requirement. It came from Dagenham under the eagle eye of the OTHER man with great mechanical acumen. George Patchett!

Attachment 71905Attachment 71906Sorry about the delay. here are a couple of pics. I also have a video of firing on FA. The AMAZING thing about this was that the suppressor worked fabulously well. Having never fired a gun with suppressor before I thought that the movies exaggerated their effectiveness, but on the video you can only hear the ding on the steel plates and the click of the cocking handle as it fired.
