    Fitting a 9G rear sight to No1MkIII*

Gents, I have just aquired an AJ Parker 9G rear sight to fit to my 1929 BSA made No1 MkIII*
There are two issues that I need to attend to. Firstly I'm going to need the longer screws for fitting the mounting plate; trigger guard rear and safety.
As these are "Enfield" threads; is there any chance of finding the longer screws necessary? Or is it a question of getting some made?
Secondly I'll will probably have to make the mounting plate; because this sight has a plate for another make of rifle, not sure what.
Some dimensional data of the original SMLE fitting would be useful.
If anyone has either parts or info squirelled away somewhere, I would be very interested.
    Thanks,

Pictures of your mounting plate would be helpful to see what you are working with. The longer fixing screws are available. Most commonly encountered theses days are the one made up to original specs. I can point you in the direction of who makes them if you PM me.

Here is a photo of the sight and base; I would like to identify the base plate, so maybe I can sell or trade it for an SMLE one.

That mount bracket looks like one for the Martini.

Thank you muffet. I'll look into that. If I know what it is,it will be easier to sell or trade.

Just to update this thread. I have located and purchased a mounting plate for the 9G target sight. So when it arrives, I'll post some photos of the set up.
