COLT 1911A1 lend lease to RUSSIA s/n ?

FWIK Russiaicon received a number of 1911A1 from the States during WWII.
I would be interested to know where I could find the serial numbers of those guns.

I always tell my collector mates to put originality at the top of their priority list, originality isn't something that can be restored. I've never seen a 1911 I didn't like.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Apparently in the time lapse 1943-1945 in Russiaicon received ~13 000 COLT 1911a1 by lend lease contract, I've read that they were in the s/n 980,000 - 1,100,000 range but I haven't find any reliable document to proove it.

You'll be able to identify those by the "FWW" marking on them - they were bought and sold via Frankonia in Germanyicon. I have Ithacas coming from Russiaicon in the 1.256.xxx range.
