This is what the Germans did in WW2 when they Capture Tommy Guns from the French.

Pose for a determined looking piccy. In reality, they wouldn´t have had .45 ammunition in their supply chain.

They also used captured Brens too. There are photos of twin Brens used in the AA role at the submarine pens in Northers France. My neighbour was an Officer POW and they had Brens on the watchtowers. He knew they were Brens because when they were hauling up a mag box loaded with full mage, one fell and broke open and it was .303" mage and ammo that spilled out - not 7.92mm German/Czech.

The first photo is a Colt Model 1921 that was captured from the French - as all Savage and Auto Ord Model 1928A1 Thompsons had the Cutts muzzle compensator (the Model 1921 could be either way)

If you watch the footage of the end of the war, you'll see entire units of the old soldiers Volksturm....marching off to defend Berlin using almost exclusively captured weapons...rifles, light MGs and heavies... They sent everything back to be used. They'd have sent the ammo too. No, they didn't make it, they had all they could handle being sent through our supply.

The volksturm certainly had plenty of Sten guns. So said, most of the kit and plenty of the agents supplied to the French went straight into the hands of the eagerly awaiting reception committee - who were German!

Many years ago I saw a MP 3008 in 9mm with a MP 40 magazine in the bottom. Even back then, I knew this was a rare example

Otto Skorzeny went right to the source and ordered weapons using captured codes. He'd have them air dropped right to his guys for test and evaluation...like the Mk6s...
