    You nailed it.
I am quite pleased with this one. I did not really realize how nice it was until I got it home & looked closley. Thinking the price was pretty good also.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. You get some of the credit for posting all your finds. Inspired me to stop and smell the cosmolineicon. Also found 2 NOS helmets 1 Swissicon 1 US both unussued with multiple covers in the original packinging.
I think the Swiss is an M71 but with nylon suspention. The us looks to be 80's vintage? It even had a NOS nylon butt pack stuffed inside.

I've advanced to them giving me stuff now (yard sales, not flea markets). Talked to a Vietnam vet for about 10 minutes and left with a WWII folding shovel. Talked to another fellow in same development and walked out with a Garandicon stock, 1950's but in decent shape.

I had the oppertunity to visit with a Vietnam vet in my travels last week. We were both poking around an antique shop in the ozarks. Nice fellow. I've found there are some folks who lack sentimentality but recognize it in others and are willing to pass an item of historic value into good hands.
