    Help Identify Spike Bayonet

Hi all. Found this spike bayonet in a small lot of goodies.
Only marking I can find is "PS"
Looks to be a deployable/folding type spike bayonet.

    Overall Length - 14 3/4"

Edit - 5 min after posting this, I found it. My Googlefoo is weak... Carcano Carbine Folding Spike Bayonet. Correct?

I think that a blade length and overall length may be helpful to members in identifying this bayonet, please.

    Hi
Looks like a Carcano Model 1891 Cavalry Carbine folding bayonet to me, or might be from the later 1938 carbine, they both used the same bayonet as I remember

It is a Carcano cavalry bayonet. It is not a type 38 folding bayonet, they were not the same.

The problem you will have with it is there are several variations of this bayonet and they are not compatible with the various mounts. Dimensions are going to be critical.

  9. Thank You to Aragorn243 For This Useful Post:

    Hi
I should have been more specific in my previous post when I refereed to the 1938 carbine, I meant the Model 1938 Cavalry Moschetto Modello 91/38 Cavalleria.
