Very nice. I find the Model 300 to be more attractive. To me the smaller dimensions permitted by using 7.65mm improves the proportions. My 600 looks ungainly, my 300 looks more balanced.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. Years ago I had a friend who was an editor for gun publications, he had a cut-away Astra 600 that came from Spain

The Italianicon 9mm Glisenti (1910) was designed to use a reduced loading of the 9 mm cartridge because of the weak design

I have a couple of the Astras, a 600/43 and a 1921 (400). Fun and interesting, but the triggers are pretty wretched , especially the 600's.

This is an interesting thread. Are there any known Germanicon units that were issued the 600/43's or detailed information about their use? Way back when I had a Guardia Civil which is a copy of the Astra 400. Sold it off in a moment of weakness--dang! Salt Flat

I have a 400 which will not fire largo so I believe a sleeve was inserted for 9mm. That works fine. 400's were not made in 9mm to my knowledge.
