    reloading componets

Since i recently pulled down a bunch of .270 bullets, I was looking for new brass. Went to both graf's and midway, and both out of winchester, remington, etc. brass. This for a .270?
For whatever reason it is scarce. In some cases they werent' even allowing a backorder.

    Talking Reloading components

I went to the gun show in Whitehall MT last saturday, lots and lots of people at this 50 table show. Some components and ammo there, .270 brass on one tabel for 15 bucks per 40 round bagie right next to the R-P .257 Roberts brass also in 40 round bagies......15 bucks per baggie. I bought a 40 round of the .257 because I still have a couple of 50 or 100 round bags of new Win .270 Win brass and at least 100 of fired brass of mixed brand. Bottom line, seems to be enough components and used guns here.....for right now. Yep, I'm still stocking up on the stuff when I find a "deal" or right price on it. Red would call me a "Horder" and probably other things LOL. I'm going to the Bozeman show this week maybe they will have some more reasonable deals there on .257 or .270 bullets I could use another box of 130 .270's and 120 BTHP Sierra .25's.

Check out the Brassman for once fired brass. He's updating his page right now, but I ordered 1K of once fired .223 RP brass for $81.00 delivered. Been working on them for several days now, just got down to where I could get an accurate count as they came in the USPS shipping for one price box, tossed out 8 pieces for various reasons, came to a total of 1,035. Not a bad deal at all, and they were polished.

All I can say to all reloaders, buy what you can at any gun show, estate sale, garage sale or through private sales with your friends. Buy as much as you can afford, even calibers you do not reload. All of this will be worth something at some time and most likely at a premium. Not looking at making a profit, but being able to help others to be armed when every reloader and citizen will need components.
Our present administration is creeping towards the gun issue, it won't be long as Obama has signed 17 executive orders since he was sworn in as the president of the now socialist states. It truly is incredible what he has done and it's only the beginning of our whoa's!
This is the first time in history of our country when a man was elected who has absolutely no experience in any facet of our economy, foreign relations, diplomatic expertise or military experience. This is so troubling and lopsided, that not even the conservatives have an answer to this trajedy. Reloading could be history with a simple stroke of his poison pen! Take heed and do what you deem appropiate as a patriot to make sure you have at least one line of defense in case the executive orders go so far as remove our second amendment rights. The agenda is to take it away, and as our founding fathers lost everything they had and were murdered for their beliefs, the principals to our constiution may warrant that we too may have to make sacrifices for our future generations.
Am I troubled, you bet, and am praying that Americans take back their country.
And the most important aspect of what is happening, keep what you have to yourselves, inform trusted friends to what is about to happen and prepare for the worst. Make sure you understand the administrations agenda and work around it, use it to your advantage. You need to keep abreast of what this two legged beast is doing, along with the Senators and Congressmen who are going along with his socialist program to destroy capitalism.
Anyway, it appears this should of been on the political forum, but the future legislation will directly affect all who reload and enjoy the freedom of being able to defend ones self from either the criminal or our present government. I sincerely do not see the light at the end of the tunnel, it appears they extingished it and will continue to destroy every aspect of prosperity and put into place a country that will mimic third world communistic/socialistic entities that take away every individual thought. I certainly do not wish to be in their plan, and will do whatever is called for to quell their agenda.
If you need to see the proof, go to google.com, type in FEMA concentration camps in America, you won't believe what you read. 800 camps throughout the USAicon, ready to accept the ones who reject the agenda of the administration.

We are'nt going to any concentration camps yet, and if ever God forbid there is any suggestion of it, not without a real big fight.

Agree totally with Anthony regarding prudent purchase and accumulation of reloading supplies, if you can afford it. Look for the deals where they are, but (at least not yet) dont start paying crazy prices some places are asking.

BTW, Obama's capital is being spent pretty fast if you've been watching. Administration is one mistake after another, some rather unprecedented.

    - His letting Pelosi control his agenda is not perceived well in America, and her polls are sinking fast.

    - Gun control will be a hard sell despite the evil criminals who solve problems with violence. It is and always has been about the "economy stupid" (just a phrase).

    - If folks keep losing their jobs, they are not going to want to hear about gun contol, earmarks, Iran, Hillary, or Britany Spears, they will be about "CHANGE".

    - Still early to make the call, but the next election about big time change may be 2010! Dont give up any hope.

The entire scope of this is that our 2nd amendment rights will be trambled upon and he, the only ultra left winged liberal in history, elected, without any experience, history or expertise, nor common sense towards our Constitutional Republic definition is now in charge. I am truthfully frightened and dismayed at the outcome of how in the hell he was even voted in. My father who would be 92 if he were still alive, would probably commit suiside.
I have enjoyed reloading, testing rifle/pistol loads since I was 12 years old under the direction of my father. I have forwarded that knowledge to my son and daughter, but to even think that this constitutional right could be erased by the pen of a socialist is something I cannot comprehend.
The situation we are presently experiencing is truly monumental to those who wish the USAicon continues to be a world power, for freedom and an example to others who disregard personal freedoms.
Am I worried, I cannot even comprehend my own feelings, I honestly do not have the words to express my concerns. I as a veteran feel that at this time in our history that only prayer will change what is about to happen. We do not have any representation in Washington DC and whatever we say is heard by deaf ear.
We have been sold out by the very people we chose to represent us. My only suggestion is to make others aware, keep what you have between your trusted friends and spread the knowledge to prepare for what we are going to go through. My only hope is that the American Spirit is alive and well and this scenerio is the spark to ignite the renewel that is forth coming to make our nation stronger than what it has been.

    for what it's worth

went to an old friend of mine today, dealer, and managed to scrounge up 100 .270 casings remington at .35 a piece. Happy to get it.
He told me that a lot of things they would normally have and be selling his distributors have said april or may at the earliest. He said there was NO .380 ammo in the pipeline, gone.
His opinion was most likely the equipment being the same to churn out 9mm ammo, and that taking precedence on .380. Wasn't no .380 brass in his store either
