    help? can someone tell me anything about this ammo can?

    hi there. a friend of mines father passed away and he had this ammo can (powder can?).

    you can see the word POWDER several times. there is also the date 4 May 19.

    I'm thinking it's a reusable container for some prilled explosive such as Amex or one of the type resembling fertilizer...and is poured into either it's final container such as a hayrick or beehive or it can be used for cratering. These come up as surplus...still on issue. That's what type of container it is. This one has just enough markings for me to think that...
