Trying to identify the rather long beast held by the chap in the right-rear of this lineup.

Somehow doubt the linked 20mm? ammo goes with it.

Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Winchester apparently played around with a "big-bore" centre-fire rifle built on the 1887 / 1901 action.

Not released, from all accounts.

Looks like a "lash-up" in the photo, then.
